Experience

Being a second photographer isn’t just a job opportunity for me.

I started photography in 2011, I assisted during one wedding in 2022 and started photographing weddings as a solo photographer with my significant other, KaSheena, as my assistant in 2023. While I would’ve loved to second shoot consistently before taking on my own weddings, opportunities are rare when new.

I make up for little experience with understanding. Understanding my craft, my role, my clients, and our vision. How? Preparation, communication, and thoughtfulness. 

Philosophy

Second shooting is about support, representation, reliability, and competence. I believe everything a great main photographer is, the second photographer should strive to be twice as much, while also learning every step of the way. I’m just getting started, but in the long run, I strive to be an amazing wedding photographer and an established second shooter, especially to those who believe in me.

Why hire me?

So why would you hire and trust an “inexperienced” second? Answer’s simple: the experience will come, as it did for you. As a photographer who is truly devoted, authentic, professional, and grateful, I can honestly say experience (and maybe a loud voice, what’s up fellow introverts) is the only missing factor.
